Our Security Patrol Company - Crime Deterrence Makes A Difference

BPS PROTECTIVE SERVICES K9 INC. is contracted to patrol the NorthWest Industrial Business Association area seven days a week. BPS Protective is easily identified by their black security vehicles, uniformed officers and K-9 partners.

The patrollers are encouraged to introduce themselves to members, so if you are working into the evening, you may meet our security service officers.

The patrollers will be checking members doors, windows and compound gates on each shift.  Please ensure that emergency contact numbers are prominently displayed on your business premises.

If you have any questions about the security patrols please call Allan Schmidt, Executive Director, at 780-902-2322

Community Litter Clean-up

THE SPRING 2014 LITTER CLEAN-UP WAS COMPLETED MAY 30th, 2014.

The Association, again partnering with the Edmonton Institution for Women, cleaned up litter in the public areas throughout the Association area, gathering more than 120 bags of litter.

Business and property owners are encouraged to do a litter cleanup on their own properties and keep them litter free throughout the year.  The Association will continue to monitor vacant properties for litter.

Watch for the fall 2014 litter clean-up project announcement.

Bus Shelter Program

The  2014 bus shelter program is scheduled to purchase and install three shelters this year. The Association contracts with Edmonton Transit (ETS) to purchase and install bus shelters at our highest usage bus stops.

The Bus Shelter Program is a multi year project designed to assist and enhance public transportation in our area.

Community Parks Program

The Association in partnership with the City of Edmonton has provided a small community park space with picnic benches on 190 Street south of 111 Avenue.  It is located on the edge of the storm pond area.  The project and benches are designed to give employees in the area a restful green space to use for lunches and work breaks. A landscaping project for this site is scheduled for this year.

This is the first of two green spaces planned for the Association area.
